Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

IUI is a treatment used to help couples who are having difficulty conceiving naturally. This treatment involves placing a sperm sample directly into the uterus to determine the optimal time by monitoring the woman's ovulation cycle and increasing the chance of sperm reaching the uterus during this period.

Who is it suitable for?

IUI treatment may be an option for couples with conditions such as poor sperm quality, cervical factors (cervical problems), ovulation problems, or endometriosis. Additionally, couples who have difficulty conceiving naturally for unknown reasons may also resort to IUI treatment.

Treatment Process:

Ovulation Monitoring: IUI treatment is usually performed during a woman's natural ovulation cycle. Therefore, ovulation is monitored with ultrasound or hormonal tests to determine the time of ovulation.

Sperm Preparation: During the ovulation period, the sperm sample taken from the man is prepared in the laboratory. Sperms are processed by selecting the highest quality and motile ones.

Insemination Process: After the ovulation time is determined, the prepared sperm are placed directly into the uterus through a thin catheter. This procedure is usually painless and completed in a short time
